Privacy Policy — Shepherd

Last updated: 20.07.2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Shepherd (the “App”), developed and operated by Andy Jamerson, an individual developer (“we,” “us,” “our”), handles your information — and, more importantly, what it doesn’t.

1. Overview

Shepherd does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. The App’s App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected.”

2. Data stored on your device

Everything the App saves — your favorites, verse history, preferences, memorization progress, and settings — is stored locally on your device. This data is never transmitted to us or to any third party, and we have no way to access it. Deleting the App deletes this data.

3. iCloud sync

If you enable optional iCloud sync, some of that data is stored in your own private iCloud account so it can follow you across your devices. This happens entirely between your device and Apple, under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy — we have no access to your iCloud data.

4. Photos access

If you set up automatic daily wallpaper, the App asks for add-only access to your Photos library. This permission is used solely to save each day’s wallpaper into a dedicated album on your device — the App cannot view, edit, or delete your existing photos. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device’s Settings.

5. Notifications

Some optional features can send local notifications (for example, a daily memorization reminder). These are scheduled entirely on your device — no notification data leaves it. Notification permission is optional and can be revoked at any time in your device’s Settings.

6. Purchases

All purchases are billed and processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment details, and Apple does not share any personally identifying information about you with us.

7. Your rights (EU/GDPR)

Because the App does not collect or process personal data, the GDPR’s data-subject rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) generally have nothing to apply to. If you believe we hold personal data about you — for example, from an email you sent us — contact us at the address below to have it corrected or deleted. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date above.

9. Governing law

This Policy is governed by the laws of Spain. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
